Not a scintillating CD of a current Broadway musical but nontheless
it is entertaining. Capturing Charlie Chaplin's climb to the top of the
tree in America after leaving his birth country Britain. It's a concept
piece and would sit well in a theatre belonging to the current era of
interest and music. No big songs here but pleasant enough for Musical
buffs. ***.

Good representation of a dancing musical. On CD it is crisp and
tuneful and the bag of Irving Berlin tunes they have dipped into come over well.
Tom Chamber's singing is a little "one Voice" at times and this can be annoying
when he has so many numbers to sing. Ensemble,good, and the orchestra
and tapping excellant. It could have been better.***.
