This show is either amazing or terrible depending on your ability to include Hip-hop, scat, and talking in tune as part of your musical theatre. I have seen clips which are impressive and I realize this show has produced a full house every week since it opened so it has some appeal certainly. For young audiences I'm sure it works. For the Rodgers and Hammenstein brigade maybe not. I will have to listen to the CD a little longer to make an opinion. ***.
